🌿 Garden Consultations with Cristen 🌿

Need help figuring out what to plant, when, where, and why

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to bring more life into an existing garden, I can help! I offer phone consultations for gardeners who want clear, thoughtful guidance without the pressure of hiring a full-service designer or landscaper. These conversations are practical, down-to-earth, and together, we'll explore what works for you — your goals, your lifestyle, and the unique ecology of your space.

What’s included:
✔️ A 1-hour phone consultation ($45)
✔️ Follow-up e-mail with customized resources tailored to your garden and goals

I don’t do site visits or garden installations. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to grow something beautiful, meaningful, and resilient. A thriving garden isn’t a one-time project — it’s an ongoing relationship with the land. I love working with people who want to be actively involved in their garden’s evolution and ready to learn alongside the plants and seasons.

Ready for a conversation? Fill out a quick intake form (below) to share a bit about your space and goals.

I'll follow up with you as soon as I can!

Garden Consult: Client Questionnaire

What type of space are you working with?
What are your main goals for the space?

(Just list a few things you’ve planted or that come up on their own)

(Examples: heavy clay, too much sun/shade, pests, not sure where to start…)

How much time do you want to spend in your garden?

This helps me visualize your garden and tailor suggestions to your unique conditions. Feel free to include wide shots, close-ups of plants or soil, and anything you want to highlight.

About Cristen: Your Garden Guide

Hi, I'm Cristen — a permaculture gardener, herbalist, and passionate plant lover based in Central Texas. I’ve been gardening for over 15 years, learning season by season how to work with the land. I studied herbalism at the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine, earned my Permaculture Design Certificate through the Austin Permaculture Guild, and continue to learn from mentors, hands-on experience, and the plants themselves.

I take a regenerative, ecological approach to gardening. That means choosing a diversity of plants that support each other, building healthy soil, and designing resilient spaces that support pollinators, people, and the more-than-human world. Want to see my approach in action? Learn more here.
